The Tentative Schedule

I post this with slight trepidation, since we have been cautioned that our schedule is subject to change at any time, but for those of you interested in the play by play of our trip, below is a copy of the schedule that the Festival organizers have circulated to us as of now.  I have inserted our concerts into the schedule as well.
 
LOUIS-LEWANDOWSKI-FESTIVAL, BERLIN 2011

Donnerstag / Thursday, 15.12.2011
We are scheduled to arrive in Berlin at 8:05 AM.  (Let's hope the airlines are on time!)
6:00-7:00 PM Zamir concert  at Krankenhauskirche im Wuhlgarten
08:30 pm Welcome address
 

Freitag / Friday, 16.12.2011
08:30 – 08:45 am A brief meeting of those responsible (festival organizers + choirs)
09:00 – 10:30 am Bus tour through the historical and political city center towards Berlin-Weissensee
10:45 – 11:45 am Jewish cemetery Berlin-Weissensee: Commemorate the victims of the Shoah, visiting Louis Lewandowski's grave
12:00 – 12:45 pm departure, way back to the hotels
lunch
02:00 – 2:30 pm Buses leave for synagogue Pestalozzistraße
03:00 pm Official opening of the Louis Lewandowski Festival
Shabbat starts at 03:34 pm
simultaneously:
04:00 – 05:00 pm Shabbat Service led by Rabbi Dr. Tovia Ben-Chorin, supported by the Synagogal Ensemble Berlin
04:00 – 05:00 pm Orthodox Shabbat Service led by Cantor Simon Zkorenblut
afterwards walk or bus shuttle to the hotel
06:30 pm Dinner
Evening free

Shabbat, 17.12.2011Morning and afternoon free
Shabbat ends at: 04:53 pm
05:30 pm Departure of the individual choirs, concerts in different places in Berlin
7:00- 8:15 pm Zamir concert at the Jewish Museum in Berlin in the glass courtyard
from / after 09:00 pm "Surprise"  (no lie, this is what the schedule says!)

Sonntag / Sunday, 18.12.2011
08:20 am Departure by bus
09:00 – 11:00 am participation in pre-selected lectures (09:00 – 09:45 / 10:00 – 10:45 am)
to 11:15 am Buses leave for hotel
Lunch
from 12:45 pm Departure for Rykestrasse synagogue
→ The choirs will leave the hotels in order of their appearance within the concert.
02:00 – 03:30 pm Concert rehearsal
04:00 pm Doors are open
05:00 – 07:30 pm Grand closing concert at Rykestrasse Synagogue
afterwards VIP Reception
Bus transfer to hotels

Monday December 19 we depart for home at 12:50 PM, scheduled to arrive in Boston at 6:20 pm.

It seems like so much, yet in such a short period of time!  We'll all be packing lots of energy bars in our luggage.
